PERSONNEL REQUIRED

Because of the expansion of all our programmes in Southern Sudan in 2011 – Education, Health and Pastoral – Solidarity with Southern Sudan, an inter-congregational initative sponsored by the UISG/USG, requires religious personnel for the following areas:

  • Teacher Training: especially teachers of English, Mathematics and Professional Studies for inservice and pre-service training programmes based in the Solidarity Teacher Training Centres in Malakal and Yambio or as outreach programmes from these locations.

  • Nurse Tutors and Clincial Instructors: to help train student nurses in the Catholic Health Training Institute (Wau) and supervise them in the nearby St. Daniel Comboni Diocesan Hospital.

  • Pastoral Team Members  - the team focuses on the formation of diocesan personnel in areas of theological & spiritual development & related liturgical and pastoral skills. They offer workshops at national & diocesan levels on such topics as CST as a basis for nation building; the spirituality of reconciliation and peace-making; trauma and healing of memories, peace-building skills etc.

  • Administration – administrators are needed for the Solidarity with Southern Sudan (SSS) institutions.

  • Hospitality Coordinator for the Juba Community: Since the Juba community serves as a center of welcome and hospitality for both SSS members and for many visitors, this service is particularly important.

Please contact the Executive Director for further information and for details about the application process:
